It’s time to find joy and inner peace in life again.

You remember a time when constant worries didn’t flood your every thought or questioning yourself weren’t the “norm”….but those days feel like a distant memory. Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that?

You’ve come to the right place.

Danielle Dana Therapist in Glendale, AZ

I’m Danielle, and I help women just like you. Women that have it within themselves to feel empowered and confident once again, but just need the support to get there.

I help my clients find a sense of relief by equipping them with the tools they need to better understand themselves, gain insight, and truly heal once and for all so that they can live a more fulfilling life.

Many of today’s solutions for anxiety are a one size fits all, leading so many women to feel misunderstood and frustrated or like they aren’t making real progress. I know that your circumstances are unique, which is why every step of your journey is tailored to you so that you can reach your goals and restore the balance you are searching for.

First, we get real. We explore what you are experiencing from your physical symptoms to your thoughts that are causing you the distress to seek therapy in the first place. Then, we put a plan into place where you will learn skills, create necessary changes, and gain insight as to how to most effectively reach your goals. Through our work together, you’ll feel more confident, have greater understanding of yourself, and know how to respond rather than react to your emotions so that you can live your most authentic life.

My style

I am dedicated to helping women live their best lives!

My training in anxiety, trauma, and self esteem means I have the expertise you need and deserve when healing from the inside out. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be a women struggling with anxiety and overwhelm, right?

I get it because I’ve lived it myself! I know that sometimes you feel like you can’t handle one more thing, it’s just too much but you keep pushing past regardless of what your body may be telling you. Maybe you even feel like you just want to quit. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.

My guiding principles

Growth

We all can learn, explore, and create change when we’re open to new things.

Trust

From a place of authenticity comes connection and the ability to be who we truly are.

Safety

Being seen and heard in a nonjudgmental space lays the foundation for healing

Heal

It is when we develop trust and safety within the therapeutic relationship that the most powerful shifts take place.

Training & Education

I earned my B.S. in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah.  After working in the corporate world for a few years, I decided that was not my path in life.  I am someone who has always been drawn to helping people and making a positive impact in their lives.  Therefore, I decided to follow my passion and earned my M.S. in Professional Counseling from Westminster College in SLC, UT.  Upon graduation, I completed and passed the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).  These are both standardized exams used to assess a counselor's knowledge and skills in their field to become recognized as a licensed professional.

I have had a wide range of clinical experience from working in a residential setting with families, to helping children in an agency setting, to supporting individuals overcome anxiety and trauma in a private practice. In 2019 my family and I decided to relocate out of Utah and landed here in sunny Arizona. Upon our relocation, I worked in a group private practice and in the summer of 2022, I opened a private practice in Glendale, AZ where I offer in person as well as virtual appointments.

I am trained in EMDR therapy and completed certification in Neuropsychotherapy so that I can pull elements of science to enhance your healing. I implement mindfulness, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), IFS (internal family systems), DBT, and Psychodynamic aspects into my work with each of my clients. To better serve my clients, I am continuously learning by seeking additional training, mastering new techniques and furthering my education so that I can be the most effective therapist for you and your personal needs.
